The Rochfort Rarities

The Rochfort Rarities

Rochfort Distillery was located in the Hindmarsh Valley, South Australia. Founded in late 2018 by John Rochfort — the former CEO of Lark Distillery, one-time manager of Nant Distillery, and co-founder of McLaren Vale Distillery. Rochfort produced tiny, hand-numbered single-cask releases matured exclusively in historic French and American oak fortified-wine casks sourced from South Australia’s most storied wineries — Maxwell Wines, Chapel Hill, Coriole, Hardy’s, and Yangarra. The distillery entered liquidation in 2020 so no further Rochfort-labelled whisky will ever be produced. The brand’s awards include Best Whisky in Australia and Best Small Batch Spirit at the 2019 Tasting Australia Spirit Awards, and Best Whisky of the World 2019 at the Lux World Masters (under 12 years).

This 27-bottle single-owner collection represents an unique opportunity, and possibly the last chance ever (to have such choice) to acquire this ultra-premium legendary whisky.

Each bottle comes in a coloured cylinder (Black, White, or Gold).
The cylinders are padded and lined with a gold/yellow fabric.
The shaped tapering French glass bottles have elegant branding to the fronts, and have fine gilt metal embelishments in the way of the identification/authentication plaque, the pouring neck, and the stopper.
The stopper being highly decorated and having substantial weight reminds the person serving the whisky that this is something special.

Even once empty, these bottles will become sought after for their quality and style.
